After the successful second edition of the Olazábal & Friends Charity Pro-Am last weekend at Costa Navarino, José María Olazábal is participating this week in the PGA Grand Final of Saldaña, the third tournament of the PGA Spain Golf Tour Circuit, which puts the final touch to a great year. But before, he wanted to attend to the media that moved to the Burgos field, where the winner of the National Order of Merit will be known.
An excited Olazábal, in love with golf, “the sport that I have been practicing since I was very small and the one that has given me everything”, showed his desire to continue competing, although he is aware of his limitations due to the passage of years: “Age does not forgive and compared to the punch of all these young people I have nothing to do”.
Olazábal, always very committed to the PGA of Spain (of which he has been a member for many years), has played three tournaments of the PGA Spain Golf Tour Circuit this year. “The PGA is doing things very well, moving in the right direction, creating a great circuit and to the extent that our support can help this great project here we will continue. It is a good circuit for young people, so that they gain experience, and as Ander Martínez said before, players who are today in international circuits have passed through the circuit of the PGA“.
