The 2020 LET season might be drawing to a close, but it is not over yet. With 300 Race to Costa del Sol points on offer and a slice of the €600,000 prize fund, it is all to play for at the season finale in Spain.

With one more tournament still to play, there are four more rounds of golf on show this week at the the 18th edition of Andalucía Costa Del Sol Open de España, which is being hosted at Real Club De Golf Guadalmina for the first time since 2017.

Home to four-time Solheim Cup star and two-time Spanish Open winner Azahara Muñoz, who gets her campaign underway at 9.10 am alongside recent ‘slam dunk’ ace Caroline Hedwall and Germany’s Oliva Cowan, the 96-player field is represented by 23 nationalities and includes more than 20 LET champions, 18 Spaniards, and three former Order of Merit winners.

Leading them off at 8.20am is French amateur and former PING Junior Solheim Cup player Lilas Pinthier, who is paired with the younger of the Metraux sisters, Morgane, and the elder of the Sanz Barrio sisters, Patricia.

Last year’s Order of Merit winner Ester Henseleit is paired with the incumbent Race to Costa del Sol leader Emily Kristine Pedersen, and local star Nuria Iturrioz at 1.10pm from the first tee while former winner’s Lee Anne Pace and Beth Allen tee off at 12.30pm and 8.40 respectively.

In the absence of Australia’s Stephanie Kyriacou, who currently leads the race to win ‘Rookie of the Year’ spoils, her closest competition for the title Alice Hewson, Magdalena Simmermacher and the youngest player in the field at 16 years old, Pia Babnik, make up a ‘all rookie’ three-ball at 12.50pm. A trophy on Sunday for either player would secure them the prestigious race as well as a biggest career check.

Last week’s ‘Team’ winner at the Saudi Ladies Team International Michele Thomson will be hoping to continue where she left off despite being without partners Cassandra Hall and Emily Kristine Pedersen. The Scot is off at 9.00am alongside Italian LETAS graduate Lucrezia Colombotto Rosso and Spain’s Maria Hernandez.

Recent LETAS winner and another home hopeful this week Luna Sobron Galmés is also off at 9.00am from the 10th hole alongside recent winner Amy Boulden and Kim Metrux, who is getting closer to a maiden victory every week.

You can watch the action LIVE on Thursday and Friday from 13:00 – 17:00 GMT (14:00 – 18:00 local) and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 – 16:00 GMT (13:00 – 17:00 local) on the LET website HERE
