Former World Number One Justin Rose will tee it up at The Belfry this summer as he returns to the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo, from June 28-July 2.
The 2013 U.S. Open Champion hosted the popular tournament at Walton Heath in 2018 and is also a former winner of the event, having triumphed in 2002 at Woburn – his second victory on the DP World Tour.
His win at Merion Golf Club ten years ago was the first Major Championship victory by an Englishman since Sir Nick Faldo won the Masters Tournament for the third time in 1996.
Demand is high for tickets for this year’s Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo, with the Ticket+ option sold out across all tournament days. Premium Experience options are still available and can be purchased, along with General Admission tickets, here.
The five-time Ryder Cup player, who made his debut in golf’s greatest team contest under the Captaincy of Sir Nick Faldo in 2008, returned to the winner’s circle earlier this year as he won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA TOUR, his first victory in more than four years.
“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to play on home soil once again,” said Rose. “The Brabazon Course at The Belfry has such great history and is a venue recognised not just in Britain but around the world. It was great to see that so many fans came out in force during last year’s final round and I’m excited to have the chance to play in front of them very soon.
“Having previously hosted the tournament, I know how much work goes on behind the scenes to make it a success and I’m looking forward to seeing what Sir Nick has planned for the week. As an Englishman, he is someone who I always looked up to when I first picked up a golf club. He has led from the front in giving back to the game of golf through many avenues and that’s something me and my family are also very passionate about through the Rose Ladies Series, Rose Ladies Open LET Access tournament and the Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championship.”
The Belfry first hosted the Betfred British Masters in 2021 and it was announced earlier this year that the four-time Ryder Cup venue will be the site of the tournament until 2026, with Sir Nick Faldo coming on board as tournament host during that time.
“I’m delighted that we are able to announce Justin’s participation in this year’s Betfred British Masters,” said Sir Nick Faldo. “He is one of the Britain’s most successful golfers, achieving so much in his career; he’s a Major Champion, former World Number One and an Olympic Gold Medallist with 25 worldwide wins to his name. It was great to see him return to the winner’s circle earlier this year with his win at Pebble Beach and I’m really looking forward to welcoming him to The Belfry in a few months’ time.”
The Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo will be the 20th DP World Tour event held at The Belfry, 44 years on from the Lada English Golf Classic won by the late, great Seve Ballesteros. The Tour returned to The Belfry after a 13-year absence in 2020 and the venue has hosted a tournament each year since.
Last year, Denmark’s Thorbjørn Olesen returned to the winner’s circle after a four-year absence with his one-stroke victory over Sebastian Söderberg. The 2018 Ryder Cup player has since won his seventh DP World Tour title after triumphing at the Thailand Classic in February.
More than 50,000 spectators attended the event week, with a sell-out 15,000-strong crowd witnessing the final round action on Sunday. Fans are urged to secure their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Click here to purchase. Ticket+ and Premium Experiences options are also available.
