The Gecko Tour will go out at night for the start of the sixth season. The most important winter tour in Europe is throwing a party for an explosive start to a new golf season full of novelties.

The Dama de Noche Málaga course was chosen to host the opening tournament which will be held on November 11th. But no, it’s not just any other tournament, nor is it a normal night tournament. Both the course and balls will be lit up to be visible in the dark. Setting the scene for long shots.

The Dama de Noche course has nine holes, which is why it’s just a one day tournament, two times around the nine holes. The first winner of the season will come from that night. And when the golf is over at around 12:30 or 1:00 am is when the real party will start.

The Gecko Tour organizers will prepare a big paella for the golfers and their friends and family, as well as drinks and live music to liven up the party and to celebrate the start of a new chapter. The Gecko is older now and therefore has earned the right to stay out later at night.

The Gecko is going for the surprise factor for this new chapter, many new faces, completely revamped but with the same enthusiasm as always. It’s a tour devised with concept of giving golfers who can’t play in the winter the chance to compete, whether it be due to lack of tournaments or, directly, because of the fact that in their native countries it’s not possible. The Gecko is growing more and more every year and this year is no exception. The first several tournaments have already been confirmed:

Marbella Golf Country Club November 21 – 22
La Quinta Golf Club November 24 – 25
Parador (Málaga) Golf November  28 – 29
Atalaya Golf Club  December 01 – 02
