The second edition of a tournament arrives that for MTDG, a company organising golf tournaments and events, is intended to become a classic of the Spanish amateur calendar, joining other already established classics such as the Flags Tournament or the Canary Islands Day Tournament.
Following the success of 2022 in Almería, this year the test changes location and will be held between December 7 and 10 in El Rompido, Huelva.
All aspects of an event of this type are taken care of to the extreme by MTDG but, the selection of the tournament venues is done with great care. On this occasion, the hotel chosen to host the 120 attendees has been Precise Resort El Rompido Costa de la Luz 5 stars.
The hotel has 184 rooms and 305 apartments offering a lodging option that adapts to the needs of the different types of tourists who visit them each year. In addition, Precise Resort El Rompido Costa de la Luz has a spa that all attendees can enjoy as it is included in the tournament price.
If the hotel facilities more than meet the high standards of MTDG, the sports section is not far behind at all. The competition will take place at Golf El Rompido course located a few meters from the hotel and which has two spectacular 18-hole courses.
During the MTDG Andalucía 2023, both the north course and the south course can be enjoyed. Opened in 2006 and 2003, respectively, they together make up one of the essential visits for a golfer, not only from Andalucía, but from all over Spain.
As for the programme, the MTDG Andalucía consists of 3 nights of accommodation and breakfast, with three dinners and daily access to the spa to recover from the demands of the sport. As is customary at MTDG events, the night approach contest will be held. As for golf, two days of competition will be held (Team Scramble and Individual Stableford). In addition, attendees can show their skill in the now traditional night approach contest that MTDG holds at all its tournaments.
The 104 player spots have sold out in just two weeks but MTDG has opened the possibility of registering for free on the waiting list. From the organisation they affirm that there is usually some cancellation of an attendee at the last minute and there could be a chance to enter the tournament. The spots for non-player companions are still available.
At the level of sponsors and collaborators, MTDG Andalucía 2023 has notable supports. Thus, they appear as main sponsors with Tourism of Galicia, which continues to support MTDG events, Provincial Tourism Board of Huelva, Yutravel (Galician tour operator specialising in destinations such as Madeira, Azores or Cape Verde, among others), Amior Golf Shop , Precise Resort El Rompido and Punto Relojero.
In addition, brands such as Roku Gin, Bodegas Martín Códax and Povarelo have decided to join the MTDG Andalucía 2023 project offering tastings of their products to attendees.
