So, a few weeks have passed, and there’s a lot to talk about. Unfortunately, as a cynical Real Madrid fan, despite the victory in the Classic, which I believe Madrid won because of how bad Barcelona played, not for any other reason. And that’s because they won the game just by putting slightly more pressure on Barcelona in the second half.
The first half was fairly uneventful for Madrid, where Barça was able to score two goals with hardly any effort. And later, with the slightest bit of pressure, it’s easy to see the cracks in Barcelona’s infrastructure. The problem is that Madrid is just as bad, or worse. Just like they were in the Champions, against Manchester City, and against Betis, with a 2-1 loss.
The truth is that it’s really bad. It’s getting ugly, and it looks like the same as last year, soon we may not be fighting for anything at all. But we’ll see…There are some tough, important games left, and Madrid isn’t exactly at its finest. Apart from that, I don’t know, some of the ones who are playing, I just don’t understand it, in my personal opinion.
You see players that don’t do anything, and they get 90 minutes playing time, and others who are better and playing 10 minutes. And then, when the goalkeeper is saving all kinds of goals, they take him out…The truth is that it’s a little strange. From the coach’s point of view, it has to be a different perspective, and much more complicated. But I don’t know, just short of a miracle, I don’t know how Madrid can manage to win 0-2 and 2-3 against Manchester, I think it’s impossible because we can’t even make one goal.
It’s complicated, it seems like the Champions is going to be very, very difficult. And La Liga where it seemed, after beating Barça, like things were headed in the right direction, Barça beats Real Sociedad by some sort of miracle, and Madrid doesn’t step up to the plate when it comes time. A very sloppy game for some players, playing pretty poorly, and everything becomes more difficult.
From now until the end of the season, the only way I see Madrid winning La Liga is that Barça loses at least three games, because Madrid isn’t going to win them all. They’re not playing like a team who wins all their games, and I think that’s what will end up happening. But anyway, little by little, we’ll see what happens… We’ll see you again here very soon, and continue to dive into what’s going on in the sports world.
