– Eugenio Chacarra (-17) has carded a 65 today in the third round of the Italian Open, a result that puts him in sole possession of the lead, two strokes clear of his nearest chasers, Matt Wallace (-15) and Joaquín Niemann (-15), with the final round still to play. The last thing the Madrid native […]

Silvia Pereira — Fri, 26 Jun 2026 12:08:40 +0000

– Joaquín Niemann (-15) continues with the turbo engaged at the Open d’Italia. After a 64 on Thursday he followed up today with a flawless 63, with no bogeys. The Chilean has missed only one green in regulation in 36 holes and is sweeping across the course of the Circolo Golf Torino like a tornado […]

Lawrence redeems himself, Wallace falls short and Fitzpatrick delivers

Silvia Pereira — Sun, 31 Aug 2025 17:24:58 +0000

– Who would have imagined that Thriston Lawrence (-22) could burst into tears after winning a tournament? Well, that’s exactly what happened. The South African, so stoic and ‘insensitive’ in appearance, has had a tough time this year 2025 on the PGA Tour and this week he redeemed himself by winning the Omega European Masters […]

Silvia Pereira — Sat, 30 Aug 2025 12:15:42 +0000

– There is no doubt that the fight for that spot (or spots, if there end up being two) on the European Ryder team is the main attraction of this Omega European Masters, which has finally completed the second round, established the cut, and will leave the third round, the moving day, on Saturday, well […]

– The leader of the Omega European Masters remains the Frenchman Adrien Saddier (-13), who has signed a second-round scorecard of 65 strokes today (literally speaking, because the Frenchman is among those who played 36 holes today, the first two rounds back-to-back due to Thursday’s fog delays). Keep an eye on Saddier, who has grown […]

– It took some doing, due to the more than five-hour delay accumulated on Thursday because of the fog, but the Omega European Masters has finally wrapped up the first full day with a sole leader, the Frenchman Adrien Saddier (-8), who signed an exuberant card with six birdies, an eagle, and no bogeys. This […]

Matt Wallace (-11) has won again six years later in the DP World Tour. His victory today in the Omega European Masters is the fifth of his career on this circuit and he has achieved it after beating with a birdie on the first playoff hole to Alfredo García Heredia (-11), who, on the contrary, […]

The great shot of Alfredo García Heredia to force the tie in Switzerland

Alejandro Rodríguez — Sun, 08 Sep 2024 16:47:42 +0000

Alfredo García Heredia couldn’t win the Omega European Masters, but no one can fault the Asturian golfer. His shot on the 18th hole, under all the pressure, knowing he needed the birdie to match Matt Wallace and force the playoff, was a delight, one of the shots of the tournament. In the end, he fell […]

Alfredo clings to the epic and survives the tragedy

Silvia Pereira — Sat, 07 Sep 2024 17:51:57 +0000
