Less than a year remains until the Ryder Cup 2025 takes place, and the first major controversy has already arisen. The ticket prices for the event at Bethpage have been made public, and the amounts have not gone unnoticed.

The ticket price for each of the three days of competition soars to $750. This represents a 300% increase compared to the Marco Simone event, where the most expensive general admission ticket for Sunday cost €240. For that price, you can attend the Wednesday practice. As a novelty, this year’s ticket includes a food pack, with a sandwich and a non-alcoholic drink.

Attending the Thursday opening ceremony, which includes the celebrity match and the final round of training, will cost ‘only’ €400.

In 2025, attending the three days of competition will soar above €2000. This is in addition to the cost of flights, accommodation, city transport, and meals. A real fortune. It’s worth remembering that attending Sunday at the Masters Tournament costs around €130 and the rest of the majors close to €200.

It’s true that the Ryder is held on American soil every four years, and the desire to attend one of the most important events in the world of sports is enormous, but the reaction on social media has been swift, with numerous fans already coming forward to denounce prices they consider abusive.
