A round of 68 strokes allows Quim to face the weekend with intact chances of securing the first title of his career on the HotelPlanner Tour and making a giant leap in his aspirations on the Road to Mallorca. There’s still a long way to go. A universe ahead. However, the Spaniard has found a key today that he was missing.
Since the start of the season, Vidal has been showing signs of his good form with great rounds. In fact, twelve of the eighteen rounds he has completed have been under par. One thing was missing. Adri Arnaus and Santi Tarrío (-3) are the other two members of the Armada who have made the cut. They have done so just on the line. So far, neither has achieved a buoyant result at the start of this season. No disasters, but everyone knows the level of these two great players, and sooner or later, they will make their presence felt. They have 36 holes ahead to keep building confidence.
On the other hand, Lucas Vacarisas (-2), the best-placed Spaniard on the Road so far (18th), and Sebastián García have bid farewell to the Indian tour at the first hurdle.
