REAL CLUB VALDERRAMA
Opened in 1974 and located in the heart of Sotogrande, the course originally known as Las Aves and designed by Robert Trent Jones, is one of the mythical scenarios of world golf. In addition to the 1997 Ryder, with Spanish legend Seve Ballesteros as captain of the European team, it is the most important course in Andalusia and Spain, venue of the grand final of the European Circuit for many years, of the Andalusia Masters of the DP World Tour, Open de España of 2016 and, recently, of the new LIV Golf Series. It was originally developed by Sotogrande (the current company) and has been acquired by its partners.
CLUB LA RESERVA
Designed on a spectacular hillside, this 18-hole course, ‘drawn by Cabell B. Robinson in 2003, has been the venue for La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational, organised by Annika Sorenstam in 2019, and the recent Aramco Team Series of the Ladies European Tour. A sensational residential and leisure club of 400 hectares that in addition to the golf course includes two restaurants, a racquet sports centre and a beach club with a sandy beach, a semi-Olympic pool and a lagoon for water sports. Since 2018 it also has The Beach, a state-of-the-art leisure complex.
ALMENARA GOLF AND SO / SOTOGRANDE HOTEL
In August 2021, after two years of intense renovations, the Hotel Almenara reopened its doors under the name of SO / Sotogrande, under the long-term management of Accor Hotel Group. It is the first and only five-star hotel in Sotogrande. And in its facilities is the spectacular Almenara Golf, a 27-hole course, with three unique nine-hole layouts designed by Dave Thomas and recently renovated by the legendary Spanish golfer based in the area Manuel Piñero.
