Autumn is one of the most magical times to discover La Rioja and Rioja Alavesa. Among vineyards tinged with reds, golds, and greens, the region offers a unique combination of nature, wine, gastronomy, and golf, making this destination a benchmark for travellers seeking authentic experiences.
Golf among vineyards: four courses in a privileged setting
The Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin is surrounded by four high-quality golf courses, ideal for enjoying spectacular rounds with mild temperatures, between 15 and 25 degrees, and without the summer crowds:
· Club de Campo Sojuela
· Izki Golf
· Rioja Alta Golf Club
· Campo de Logroño
Through a Golfpass, it is possible to book several rounds easily and experience playing surrounded by vineyards.

The course designed by Severiano Ballesteros once again becomes a meeting point for enthusiasts this autumn, with its open tournaments at unbeatable prices and an impeccable playing surface:
· Thursday Tournaments (first Thursday of the month): 2 October. Open tournaments with green fees from €30 (without lunch) or €45 (with lunch included).
· Izki Golf Absolute Tournament: only €25 Sunday, 28 September 2025.
· Special Tournament, Saturday 18 October: organised together with Grow Sports, with a festive atmosphere, many prizes, gifts, and great catering.

Wine, gastronomy, and tradition
Autumn is also harvest time, with wine tourism proposals ranging from guided tours of wineries to tastings and activities such as the traditional grape stomping.
· Pinchos Route in Logroño, with the mythical Calle Laurel as the gastronomic epicentre.
· Rioja Alavesa Harvest Festival, celebrating its 30th edition in Leza on 14 September 2025.
· San Mateo Festivals in Logroño, from 20 to 26 September, declared of National Tourist Interest.
Heritage and culture in autumn
The proposal is completed with the Heritage Routes 2025, organised together with the Cuadrilla de Rioja Alavesa and Álava Medieval: six free itineraries to discover medieval towns, baroque churches, Romanesque chapels, and landscapes along the Ebro.
