The THE PLAYERS Championship couldn’t have started better. First round, morning shift, and we already have the first hole in one at the iconic 17th of the Stadium course at TPC Sawgrass. Ryan Fox managed to hole in one at the world’s most famous par 3 island.
It’s the fourteenth hole in one at the 17th and the thirty-ninth in total in this tournament since 1983, the year it began to be played on the beautiful Florida course. Moreover, it’s the first time in history that a player has chained two consecutive eagles on holes 16 and 17. Fox made 3 on the 16th and immediately followed it with the hole in one. Impressive.
