Jon Rahm made the crucial birdie at the 14th at the Hong Kong Golf Club that brought him almost definitively closer to victory. It happened almost at the same time as a bogey from Thomas Pieters, his main rival in this final round. Suddenly, having been level on the leaderboard just 15 minutes earlier, Jon found himself three shots clear again with four holes to play.
As throughout the day, the Spaniard hit a superb tee shot, executed the best wedge of the day up to that point, and holed a birdie putt of about two metres to serve up his first win on LIV Golf in 2026 after four consecutive runner-up finishes.
