Tiger Woods has finished his participation in the Masters with a round of 77 strokes for a total of +16. It’s impossible for a winner of his pedigree to be satisfied with this final result, but he does take away some positives. To start with, the record for consecutive cuts surpassed (24) at Augusta National and also the fact of having played four rounds, something unusual in recent times. He did it in the Bahamas in December, in his tournament, and the previous time was at the Genesis Invitational more than a year ago.

In this regard, Tiger has made it very clear that his next goal is to prepare to compete in the PGA Championship. He wants to be in Valhalla, in the second Major of the season, and he is going to put all his senses into it. Let’s remember that last year he did not attend the appointment at Oak Hill. “Now it’s time to work hard in Florida and be ready to play in Valhalla, Pinehurst and Troon. This is the plan. I’ve heard there are some changes in these courses, so my idea is to get there early to see them and prepare,” he assured.

Woods is confident in continuing to make progress in his technical and physical training. “The goal is to continue with what we are doing, move the body, gain flexibility, gain more strength and continue progressing. I trust that in the coming weeks the training sessions will continue to be longer,” he admitted.

In general, Tiger leaves Augusta happy. “It’s been a good week, a good fight on Friday. Unfortunately, yesterday didn’t go as I wanted. Today I could have done something more, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to, but the week, playing all four days, is positive.”

Finally, Tiger was asked about the meeting in the Bahamas with Yassir Al Rumayyan after the THE PLAYERS Championship. The 15-time Major champion did not reveal any details, but he was optimistic. “I don’t know if we are closer to an agreement or not, but we are certainly going in the right direction. It was a very positive meeting and I think both sides left the meeting feeling positive,” he explained.
